In 1990, the company Basso Travaux en Montagne was founded by Jean-Pierre Basso. This company specialized in avalanche protection devices, installing the first gas triggers.
BTM contributed to the development of several structures for the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games.
Building on this family experience, Pierre Basso founded Avenir Protections in 2014. Initially, the company’s activities focused on the development and installation of the ECO PROTEC® system, an avalanche protection device.
In 2019, the two companies merged to combine their skills and expertise, offering high-quality products and services in avalanche management.
In 2024, AVENIR PROTECTIONS launched its latest product: the APeX® system.
This device, designed and assembled by the company, enables avalanche triggering and provides numerous advantages not found in other existing systems.
